I'm Captain Bryce Artze, a USCG-licensed charter captain born and raised on the waters around St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay. Fishing’s been part of my life as long as I can remember.
Hammer Down Sportfishing was built so I could share that passion with others. For me, there’s nothing better than being on the water, and I want every trip to give you that same sense of excitement, connection, and enjoyment—whether you’re reeling in your first snook or chasing a trophy tarpon at sunrise.

About the Vessel
At Hammer Down Sportfishing, we run a 28' Caymas —a versatile and spacious vessel that’s perfectly suited for the wide range of fishing St. Pete has to offer. Whether we’re working the flats, cruising the beaches for tarpon, or running to deeper bay channels, this boat handles it all comfortably.
Designed with both anglers and families in mind, the layout offers plenty of room to move, cast, and relax. From solo trips to small groups, everyone has space to fish without feeling crowded.
